The Jogger - Ibraheem bin-Suhayl

Planning the jogger's costume was more easy than planning the victim's costume as I had a better idea of what the finished product should look like. This decreased the number of clothes available to simple tracksuit bottoms, tops and anything of similar resemblance. For trainers we managed to obtain a pair of Salomon hiking shoes, which although they are not the perfect colour, they go well with the jogger's costume. I used white socks as joggers/runners are often seen wearing white ankle socks thus making our choice more realistic. White also connotes purity and innocence thereby portraying the jogger as good. The jogger also has black gloves. Although the gloves are too thick, they work well as black connotes death showing that the jogger is in danger. Also I do not think that the thickness will show too much and won't have a significant effect. One issue that we came across was that the actor looked too young to play the jogger. I initially searched on Youtube for how to make people look older by make up. Unfortunately though I was unable to obtain the required parts. I eventually decided to give the jogger a hat which would disguise his age slightly. Also by making the hat red it creates an effect on the audience as red is linked to blood and danger.

The dark colour of the tracksuit bottoms gives an effect of death on the audience while the top, is of a grey colour which can be linked with white, thus portraying the jogger's innocence further.
