AUDIENCE EXPECTATIONS FROM HORROR
Horror audiences watch horror for several reasons:- To be scared, this was shown in my questionnaire results, people tend to watch horror for a thrill or to be scared. This leads to a desire of seeing scary characters such as Freddy Krueger or zombies.
- Many people enjoy plot twists and working out the characters, like in Scream.
- Horror audience tend to enjoy slasher scenes, such as those in Nightmare on Elm Street or Final Destination.
- As horror audiences tend to be from 15 to 25, typically from social groups C1, D and E, the movie tends to feature characters from those social groups.
